ShelterTech Kenya Program Featured on National Television
The ShelterTech Accelerator program in Kenya was recently featured on one of Kenya’s largest media organisations, Property Show on NTV Kenya. The 33rd episode looked at youth innovation on affordable housing in Kenya. The show was segmented into several parts including a feature on Container housing as a solution to affordable housing.
Further, George Mugweru from Habitat for Humanity and Jonathan Bii from Pangea Accelerator had a sit down with the TV Host, Jamila Mbugua to discuss and share their insights on the ShelterTech program and what it means to affordable housing. It was also an opportunity for Kenyans to have an insider look at how innovation is driving solutions in affordable housing and how this ties to Kenya’s President Big Four Agenda.
Additionally, FundiChapChap and Gjenge Makers were given the platform to demonstrate how their products and/or service work. Speaking to Diana Nina from FundiChapChap, she believes that the media coverage was a chance for them to not only showcase but also introduce FundiChapChap to new market outside of Nairobi.
